Have you heard ChatGPT 5 is going to be released next year? Are you wondering if it’s about to make online prenup platforms like HelloPrenup obsolete? We’re here to tell you: Not a chance! While ChatGPT might seem like a quick and easy solution to creating a prenup, it simply can’t replace the legal expertise and human guidance that real legal experts bring to the table (especially when it comes to navigating tricky state-specific laws!).
With HelloPrenup, you get 7 days-a-week customer service, data protection, access to an exclusive attorney network with discounted legal services, and a product built with legal expertise, not guessing based on various data inputs. Let’s discuss further as to why ChatGPT 5 cannot replace HelloPrenup.
HelloPrenup is built on human expertise
We, HelloPrenup, are the largest prenup company in the US, uniquely created to handle the complexities of prenups across all 50 states. Each version of the agreement is reviewed and drafted by real attorneys, not an AI bot. This deep legal and state-specific expertise can’t be matched by a general AI (at least not yet). For example, will ChatGPT send you email reminders for the 7-day rule in California? (A unique CA law says you have to wait seven calendar days between the final version of your prenup and its signing). ChatGPT is a general-purpose AI designed to assist, not replace, specialized platforms.
HelloPrenup has an attorney network
HelloPrenup has an attorney network where licensed attorneys are ready to service HelloPrenup customers for flat, discounted rates. In some states, attorneys are required for a valid prenup, such as in California, but only when a couple alters spousal support in their agreement. In that case, ChatGPT wouldn’t be enough.
HelloPrenup has customer service
ChatGPT 5 won’t have customer service via chatbot and phone with real humans seven days a week. Many of our human customer service reps are actually licensed attorneys and can answer all of your general legal, tech, and prenup process questions (without giving legal advice because we’re not a law firm). On the other hand, ChatGPT 5 is an AI bot, and it’s unclear what kind of “service” they can provide. For example, will they be able to answer questions (correctly) about how to make the agreement binding? What about if you’re experiencing a tech issue?
Privacy issues with AI
A valid and enforceable prenuptial agreement requires financial schedules that include sensitive information from both parties, such as income, assets, debts, inheritances, and business valuations. When using ChatGPT, it’s important to understand that while the system processes your data to generate responses, ChatGPT does not guarantee that your information is fully protected. Although your data may be anonymized, it’s still used to improve the model, and there’s always a risk involved when sharing sensitive details online. Despite claims of privacy protections, it can be unsettling to enter personal or confidential information like business valuations or income figures, as there is no clear, transparent way to fully control or understand where that data goes or how it might be used later. On the other hand, HelloPrenup is SOC 2 certified and has processes in place to protect your data.
Insights from leading divorce attorney: James Sexton
Renowned New York City divorce attorney James Sexton is known for his sharp insights and no-nonsense approach to life and law. You may have seen his recent viral comments about life, marriage, and divorce on the Diary of a CEO podcast. So, that led us to think, “Who better to ask than James about this hot topic?” Here’s what he said about ChatGPT and the legal industry:
“While there’s no doubt the current and anticipated future advances in AI will have a dramatic impact on the field of family law – after more than two decades as a divorce lawyer, I’m certain HelloPrenup will never be replaced by even the most advanced future large language models. First: HelloPrenup has been and remains on the cutting edge of advances in technology, and the incredible team of software engineers and other tech professionals they’ve got working on the back end of HelloPrenup services will continue, in the next iterations of AI integration, to incorporate what is useful and discard what is “hype”. Second: Only the HelloPrenup approach integrates the “real-time” experience of family law attorneys in developing and constantly refining the core templates that couples can use the HelloPrenup platform to completely personalize. Finally: There will never be a computer model that can replace the value provided by the HelloPrenup network of seasoned review attorneys, dedicated customer service professionals, and thought leaders in the field of prenuptial agreements and other direct-to-client family law documents. I have every confidence that HelloPrenup will continue to integrate the best of emerging AI functionality into the already “cutting edge” tools they offer.”
The bottom line
The takeaway is that ChatGPT 5, no matter how amazing it is, will not replace every single tool on the market, including HelloPrenup. Legal expertise, human touch, customer service, an attorney network with discounted attorney rates, and data privacy are things that ChatGPT 5 will (likely) never be able to offer. We’re not knocking this incredible AI tool that has changed the world–it’s just never going to be able to do prenups like us!
